Hey there, and welcome to “Mommy with a K!” I’m Kristina, mom to my sweet 10-month-old son, Jace, and fiancée to my wonderful partner, Stephen. Today, I’m so excited to share a little about how this blog—and this new chapter of my life—came to be.
Just four years ago, I packed up my life in Texas and moved to the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida. At the time, I didn’t have plans to become a mom, and if you’d told me I’d be raising a little boy by the ocean, I probably would have laughed and said you were dreaming.
But life, as it often does, had its own plans.
I met Stephen, and everything changed. Together, we fell in love right here on the same beach we’re getting married on. From moonlit walks to sunny afternoons splashing in the Gulf, this stretch of sand holds the story of our love. And somewhere along the way, my world opened up in ways I never imagined.
When Jace came along, my life became even more beautiful, even more full of purpose and joy. And while motherhood wasn’t in my plans before, now I can’t imagine a life without it. That’s what “Mommy with a K” is all about—this journey of discovering a new version of myself, balancing dreams, baby giggles, and everything in between.
I’m so glad you’re here. I hope you’ll find pieces of your own story in mine, and that you’ll join me as I share my favorite baby finds, wedding inspiration, everyday moments, and glimpses into our salty-sweet family life on the Emerald Coast.
